When we went to Coho Café in Issaquah for dinner, we had a small wait. While we were waiting, we were served a sample of the fiery sambal shrimp from their small plates menu, which was delicious. The restaurant looks very modern and natural. There are a lot of choices on the kid’s menu and I ordered the twin mini cheeseburgers, fries & fruit from their big eats menu ($6.50). My sister ordered the fish ’n chips. My burger just didn’t taste good so I didn’t eat it all. I’m used to eating freshly made burgers but this tasted like it was a frozen reheated burger. The fries were good and crispy, though. My sister really liked her fish because it was flaky and fresh, definitely not frozen. I ended up eating my mom’s smoked pork loin chops with apple cider beurre blanc ($19.99), which was juicy but needed a little more salt. I didn’t like the onion bread pudding that came with it. My dad ordered the cowboy rib eye steak ($22.99), which unfortunately was burnt. The garlic mashers were good though.

This place is very popular so bring something to entertain yourself because it may be a 30 minute wait before you get a seat. The appetizer samples definitely make the wait better. The service was great and everyone was so nice. There are some other items on the kid’s menu like grilled chicken, grilled salmon, macaroni and cheese, chicken strips and so on. I do want to try this place again and try their house made macaroni and cheese and see if it’s any good.
