Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules – Movie

This movie is different from the book but I definitely like the movie better. This movie is the sequel to Diary of a Wimpy Kid and is funnier than the first movie. It’s packed with extreme comedy. In one part of the movie, Craig drops a note in Greg’s locker that says to meet Holly in the locker room. Craig dresses up like Holly as revenge for Greg ignoring him and surprises Greg in the locker room. Another time, Greg is at the roller skating rink and Greg’s mom gets on the loudspeaker and embarrasses Greg.

So the story is about Rodrick and Greg learning to get along. Their parents tried a bunch of stuff but in the end, it doesn’t work out. When their parents are out of town, Rodrick throws a party and locks Greg in the basement. Rowley comes to rescue Greg but it doesn’t work out so well. Instead of being rescued, Rowley gets locked in the basement, too. I’m not going to tell you how they got out but I will tell you one word, busted. Their dad freaks out like he just lost a billion dollars.

My favorite part of the movie is when Greg and Rowley do a magic act at the talent show and Rodrick with his band. The band plays the song, Exploding Diaper, which I thought was funny. I kept singing that song after the movie was over.
