Megamind (Sierra)

Megamind is a story about two aliens who crash land on earth and but grow up very differently. Metro Man is an alien who looks like a human and grows up rich and good-looking while Megamind is an alien who grows up in jail and is blue all-over with an enormous head. Metro Man always saves the day while Megamind works to destroy it. On the day that the Metroman museum opens, Megamind plans to destroy Metroman. And it worked! Now Megamind is controlling Metro City but something just doesn’t feel right. There’s no “good” to battle his “evil”. Marmaduke, the movie, is a little cheesy for me but it might be good for younger kids. Marmaduke is a huge Great Dane who always causes trouble. When his family moves from Kansas to California, his life is turned upside down. His owner, Phil Winslow, takes him to the Dog Park to meet his new boss, who owns a pet food company. Marmaduke meets other dogs that are pure breeds that think they own the park. Marmaduke wants to be their friends rather than be friends with the other dogs who are mutts. Marmaduke tries to impress the cool pure breeds by throwing a party. But when they figure out that Marmaduke had lied to them, things don’t go...

Fame (2009)

Fame is a movie about a musical arts school that is very hard to get accepted as a student. Only the most talented people will are chosen. The people who are accepted work very hard to be successful. The movie follows a group of students through their four-year experience and it really inspires you to start dancing. This movie has some bad content like bad words and drinking but it is the best dancing drama of 2009. I both really liked and disliked this movie. I thought the dancing numbers were great but I didn’t really like the story line. It didn’t really make much sense to me. But I would definitely watch it again just to see the...

James Cameron’s Avatar

This movie takes place in 2154 when humans are mining a rare mineral called unobtanium on Pandora. But while the humans are mining, they are also hurting the native tribe, the Na’vi, living on Pandora. Along with the company that is mining, there is also a research team who has created an Avatar for Dr. Grace Augustine and Jake Sully to look like the 10-foot-tall blue-skinned Na’vi. What will the Na’vis do when they learn that the humans are actually planning to destroy Hometree, the center of the their home? Will they trust the humans Jake and Dr. Grace to help them? This was a really long movie at about 3 hours long but it was still pretty good....

Despicable Me (Noah)

Gru, the world’s second most evil villain is plotting to steal the moon! In order to steal the moon Gru needs the shrink ray, which Vector stole from Gru. While Gru was driving by Vector’s house (Vector is Gru’s #1 nemesis), he saw three little girls going in Vector’s house. Then the next day, Gru decided to adopt the three girls since they were orphans and use them to steal the shrink ray. My favorite part is when Gru takes the girls to an amusement park. First, they went on a roller coaster. Then, the smallest of the three girls was staring at a unicorn and said, “He’s so fluffy, I’m gonna die!” That was funny! I hope you...

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland

Nineteen-year-old Alice is going to her own engagement party. When she arrives, she is distracted by a mysterious rabbit, which leads her to a hole that goes to Wonderland. Once there, Alice is put to a test to see if she is the right Alice. If Alice is the right one, then she will be able to kill the Jabberwocky and destroy the evil Red Queen and save Wonderland. This film is filled with fantasy and unique characters like the Mad Hatter who Alice meets at a tea party. Tweedledee and Tweetledum are strange looking twins. The setting and animation is very creative. One thing I didn’t really like about the movie was that some scenes were really long...
