Virtual Sports

Virtual Sports is the place to go for laser tag. A realistic course, authentic-looking guns, cheap prices, different game modes, and special daily deals are just some of the things that makes Virtual Sports awesome. Starting at $25.00, you can play the next generation of laser tag. Realistic courses and realistic guns are only a small part of what makes Virtual Sports the best place for laser tag. Different days have different deals, so make sure to choose a double time session so that you can get more time to play. For those of you who think that all those hours of Call of Duty will help, they won’t. This is nothing like Call of Duty at all and you...

Burgermaster

This week my family and I went to the Burgermaster right outside of University Village. I had a Burgermaster (Ground Beef, American cheese, Tomato, Lettuce, Relish on a Toasted Bun). It was pretty good. The meat was juicy and the toppings tasted fresh. My dad had a Baconmaster, which is basically a Burgermaster with bacon. My dad likes pretty much anything with bacon. My brother had the chilidog, which was smothered in chili. There was so much chili he actually couldn’t even finish it. The fries we ate were a little crispy and not too salty. The chocolate shakes were so creamy and rich. But for some reason, mine kind of tasted like root beer. If you are in...

Dick’s Drive In Restaurant

Dick’s Drive In Restaurant has the fastest service I have ever seen. They are so fast that they almost threw my brother’s milkshake out the walk-up window as we were paying. Remember that there is no seating at most of the locations and you must only bring cash. I usually order the Deluxe Burger ($2.50), which is a very juicy double cheeseburger with the usual veggies and special sauce. My brother usually orders the cheeseburger ($1.40), which is your basic buns, burger, cheese, ketchup and pickles. They also offer hamburgers ($1.20), soft drinks and ice cream. Their fries ($1.40) are fresh-cut, soggy and taste ok. I like extra salt on mine. If you want ketchup to dip your fries,...

Ristorante Isabella in Covington, WA

*UPDATE* Ristorante Isabella is no longer in business. Ristorante Isabella is located in a strip mall so when I first walked in, it was fancier than I expected. There was a beautiful water fountain, nice paintings of Italian food on the wall and classical music playing. I ordered off the kids menu and picked the Tortellini with Alfredo Cream Sauce. My mom ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and my dad ordered the Baked Risotto and Grilled Chicken Breast. They both really loved their dishes. The kid’s portion is small so if you are an older kid, you may want to order off the adult menu. Plus the adult menu comes with soup or salad. I tried some of the minestrone...

BBQ Pete’s in Kent, WA

My favorite thing about BBQ Pete’s is their award winning Puyallup Fair BBQ sauce. My sister and I usually order the Kid’s Plate ($6.49) with beef brisket, bread, fries, and strawberry shortcake. If you don’t want fries, you can choose from the cornbread muffin with honey butter, loaded baked potato salad, smoky baked beans, green salad or chipotle coleslaw. The BBQ sauce comes on the side so you can use as little or as much as you want. There are also 4 different kinds of BBQ sauce on the tables. My dad likes to get the 3-Meat Sampler plate where you can choose from ribs, chicken, pork and brisket. This small restaurant is really cool because you sit inside...

Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream

Our family recently discovered Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream. I’ve only been there twice so far, but I think it is really awesome ice cream. It’s better than Cold Stone Creamery. I learned that Molly Moon’s uses a lot of local ingredients and some organic ingredients as well. I ordered the Vanilla Bean ice cream in a freshly made waffle cone. The ice cream is creamy and rich in flavor. The great thing about Molly Moon’s is that they are always coming up with new flavors that they discover in their own kitchen but they always keep the classics like Vanilla Bean, Theo Chocolate and Salted Caramel. You can ask for a sample if you’re not sure which flavor...
