Hart’s Gymnastics Center

I took the Boys Gymnastics class at Hart’s Gymnastics Center this summer and it was actually fun. We start off the class by running and stretching to warm up. Every class is a little different but we usually go on the trampoline. We started off learning the somersault and then a front flip. We learned to jump on and off the horse. We only did the rings once and had to hold ourselves upside-down. It was kind of hard. On the last day of class, we got to play on an inflatable, which was pretty fun. My favorite part was when we get to jump in the foam pit. This class is good for younger...

Ristorante Isabella in Covington, WA

*UPDATE* Ristorante Isabella is no longer in business. Ristorante Isabella is located in a strip mall so when I first walked in, it was fancier than I expected. There was a beautiful water fountain, nice paintings of Italian food on the wall and classical music playing. I ordered off the kids menu and picked the Tortellini with Alfredo Cream Sauce. My mom ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and my dad ordered the Baked Risotto and Grilled Chicken Breast. They both really loved their dishes. The kid’s portion is small so if you are an older kid, you may want to order off the adult menu. Plus the adult menu comes with soup or salad. I tried some of the minestrone...

BBQ Pete’s in Kent, WA

My favorite thing about BBQ Pete’s is their award winning Puyallup Fair BBQ sauce. My sister and I usually order the Kid’s Plate ($6.49) with beef brisket, bread, fries, and strawberry shortcake. If you don’t want fries, you can choose from the cornbread muffin with honey butter, loaded baked potato salad, smoky baked beans, green salad or chipotle coleslaw. The BBQ sauce comes on the side so you can use as little or as much as you want. There are also 4 different kinds of BBQ sauce on the tables. My dad likes to get the 3-Meat Sampler plate where you can choose from ribs, chicken, pork and brisket. This small restaurant is really cool because you sit inside...

Justin Bieber My World 2.0 Tour 7/13/2010

This concert was awesome! It was the best concert I’ve ever been to. This sold-out concert was so crazy busy that there was a line around the whole building to get into the concert. It was insane! When we got inside, we were waiting awhile to get a concert t-shirt so we missed the first act, The Stunners. We finally got to our seats just in time to see Jessica Jarrell perform. The cameras never zoomed in on her so I didn’t get to see her very well but at least I got to hear my favorite song from her, “Almost Love (24/7)”. She is a great singer and dancer. Sean Kingston was up next. Did you know that...

Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver: Official Strategy Guide

This strategy guide or ‘cheat book’ is very helpful down the road in Pokémon. This book gives you the all the Pokémon gym leaders weaknesses and what Pokémon they have. If you get past any of that and are going to battle the champion, you might need this book. This book is good for the Johto region only. It offers a bird’s eye view of a route that you might have trouble getting through. It’s especially good in the forest. There are descriptions of the gym leaders, the elite four and the Pokémon league champion. I really found the book helpful and it made playing the game a lot...

Pokemon Platinum – Nintendo DSi

Pokémon Platinum version is similar to Diamond and Pearl versions of Pokémon. My Chimchar evolved at level twenty-one. The evolved form of Chimchar is Monferno. My Piplup evolved at level 16. The evolved form of Piplup is Prinplup. What I liked about the game is that there are new and different Pokémon. The bad part about the game is Sinteya, the Pokémon league champion. She is the second hardest Pokémon trainer you’ll ever meet! The hardest Pokémon trainer is the Pokémon Trainer of Legend. His Pokémon are really tough so train all of your Pokémon equally at each level in the game. I like this version better than Pokémon Diamond because there’s two regions to explore versus one and...

Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream

Our family recently discovered Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream. I’ve only been there twice so far, but I think it is really awesome ice cream. It’s better than Cold Stone Creamery. I learned that Molly Moon’s uses a lot of local ingredients and some organic ingredients as well. I ordered the Vanilla Bean ice cream in a freshly made waffle cone. The ice cream is creamy and rich in flavor. The great thing about Molly Moon’s is that they are always coming up with new flavors that they discover in their own kitchen but they always keep the classics like Vanilla Bean, Theo Chocolate and Salted Caramel. You can ask for a sample if you’re not sure which flavor...

James Cameron’s Avatar

This movie takes place in 2154 when humans are mining a rare mineral called unobtanium on Pandora. But while the humans are mining, they are also hurting the native tribe, the Na’vi, living on Pandora. Along with the company that is mining, there is also a research team who has created an Avatar for Dr. Grace Augustine and Jake Sully to look like the 10-foot-tall blue-skinned Na’vi. What will the Na’vis do when they learn that the humans are actually planning to destroy Hometree, the center of the their home? Will they trust the humans Jake and Dr. Grace to help them? This was a really long movie at about 3 hours long but it was still pretty good....
